2020 Marriage Challenge Day 12

Day 12

Day 12: Love Attracts

Remember your first date. My guess is you took extra time picking out the right clothes, fixing your hair, brushing your teeth, and doing everything in your power to make yourself look as good as possible. The goal was to draw the other person to you. Aren't you glad that the pressure of those first dates is over? Thankfully, we don't have to worry about every wrinkle or strand of hair before seeing our spouse. However, shouldn't we still try to attract our spouse? Shouldn't we take into consideration what might catch their eye, woo their heart, or intrigue their mind?Love attracts. It desires to draw the object of its affection to itself. While spouses should be able to relax in their partner's love, they should also still desire to draw their partner's desire. This means physically, but it also means emotionally, spiritually, and through daily habits. It may mean picking up your dirty clothes so your wife doesn't feel she's expected to do it. It may mean intentionally changing clothes while your husband is in the room to catch his eye. It means being respectful with your words and thoughtful with your actions.Love attracts. It purposefully attempts to catch the eye and attention of the one it desires.              Application: Ask your spouse what most attracts them to you. Ask what you can do more of in order to be more attractive. Ask them to tell you some things you do which are not attractive to them.          For more, see:The Appeal of Easy SexI Wouldn't Sleep With You Either
