Day 2: Love Intends

Nobody intends to have a bad marriage. Neither a groom nor bride stands at the altar and thinks, "I'm going to destroy this marriage." A bad marriage is most often the byproduct of one simple characteristic--a lack of intention. Nothing has the power to transform our relationships like the conscious act of intention. To make a relational goal and aim at it is the single most productive thing you can do for your relationship. Intention may not be necessary when a marriage starts, but it is vital as the honeymoon wears off and the busyness of life kicks in. A lack of intention to have a good marriage is an unintentional choice to have a bad marriage. Consider: is there anything in life that you have been successful at without any effort, planning, or direction? Probably not. What life requires, marriage requires. Make a plan and go after it. Financially, sexually, relationally, vocationally, and in every area of your marriage. Want to know who Jenny and I want to be? Click HEREApplication: Read 7 Terms Every Couple Must Define.
