2020 Marriage Challenge Day 26

Day 26 of the 28-Day Marriage Challenge

Day 26: Love Touches

You better be friends with more people than just your spouse. You must have more partners in life than just your husband or wife. But you should not have other people with whom you are sexually intimate. Few things distinguish marriage like sexual intimacy. In every other area of our relationship, we have similar relationships with other people around us as we do with our spouse. But how we touch one another is one aspect that sets the marriage relationship apart from every other.Physical intimacy is a vital part of marriage. Intimacy is far more than sex, yet sex is an important aspect of intimacy. It's not the only thing that matters in marriage, but it also isn't a second rate issue. Intimacy is as important as anything else in a relationship. And it should be treated as such. When a couple fails to value intimacy, they pay a price. Few things can aide a marriage like improving their touch--both non-sexual and sexual touch. When both partners feel satisfied with their intimate relationship, every other area of their marriage is improved. Love touches.                     Application: Read Be Human Between the Sheets. Discuss ways in which you may have avoided true human intimacy and exchanged it for something else.                For more, see:A Touchy Subject in MarriageA Simple Solution to a Common Sex Problem
