2020 Marriage Challenge Day 5

Day 5 of the 28-Day Marriage Challenge

Day 5: Love Learns

Remember when American Idol first debuted on television and contestants did their tryout, honestly believing they had a good voice when in reality they were horrible? It was part fascinating, part horrifying as these young people were told the truth for the first time by Simon Cowell. They were shocked. Their moms had told them they were great. Simon told them the truth. We have the ability to go through life deceived into thinking we are good at something when actually we are not. What if that is true about sex? It's fascinating to me how few people read a book about sex. An activity that hopefully married couples engage in on a regular basis is something everyone just assumes they are good at. Why assume? Why not learn? The double whammy for our society is that while we don't read good books on sex, we are being inundated with false messages regarding sex from movies, advertisements, and pornography. We should do better. Listen, learn, study your partner, and develop a satisfying sexual connection.Love learns. Don't stop learning.           Application: Go to this list of 5 Sex Books Every Married Couple Should Read, pick a book, read it, and discuss it together. (Notice more books are recommended in the comment. My favorite, other than the one I wrote, is Passionate Marriage.) For more, see:8 Lies We Believe About SexOne Easy Tip To Improve Sex
