Day 8: Love Walks

I can feel when Jenny and I need a walk. Stress is high. Tension is mounting. Words become short. When we fail to spend time with each other we begin to doubt the intentions of one another. We need help.One way Jenny and I get help is to take a walk. It's fascinating to me what an hour walk can do for our relationship. We catch up on conversation, reconnect with each other, and feel heard by each other. A simple walk breaks us away from the things competing for our attention and allows us to focus on each other. The excerise helps our brains. The fresh air feeds our bodies. The change in scenery relieves our stress. Taking a walk is the cheapest, simplest, most effective marriage tip I know of.        Application: Look at this article. Carve out an hour and take a walk.
