A Confession, A Promise, and You

A confession—sometimes, I get a little embarrassed to tell fellow authors about Stay In Your Lane.

One of the joys of being a writer is interacting with other authors. At times, I look at their weighty, academic, thought-provoking books and am amazed at their work. Then they ask about my latest book and I talk about a small, square book that’s less than 200 pages and has 25 pages of pictures.

“It ain’t Shakespeare,” I often say.

Yet there is one area in which I’ll put Stay In Your Lane up against any work—the ability to quickly make your life better.

I promise, there is no way to read the book without recognizing places in your life in which you are not controlling what is yours, influencing what is theirs, or accepting what is God’s.

Not everyone needs to read the book, but everyone does need to understand the difference between control, influence, and acceptance.

Today, that message goes broader as Focus on the Family releases their show on Stay In Your Lane. You can see it here:

Here is what You can do to help your friends and family:

  1. Share the link to the video with them and say, “This book is so simple yet useful. I will send you a copy because it was meaningful to me.”

  2. It would also be helpful if you visited Amazon and quickly reviewed the book. Every rating verifies the legitimacy of the book. There is no need for a lot of words; just mark the number of stars and write one sentence.

  3. Finally, a quick share on your social media pages would greatly spread the message and is totally within your lane.
