Day 23, 28 Day Marriage Challenge 2023

Day 23 of the 28-Day Marriage Challenge

Day 23: Loved and Known

We must live in the truth. To deny what is actually happening or deceive one another prevents us from a real marriage. Yet when we embrace the truth, it opens us up to a tremendous possibility.  In Happily, I write, "True intimacy is to be fully loved and deeply known." (pg. 139) Consider that combination. Few of us feel fully loved. Because we are hiding aspects of ourselves, we are robbing our partners of the chance of fully loving us. Few of us feel deeply known. Because we won't face the truth, we refuse to deeply know ourselves much less let another fully know us. But it doesn't have to be that way. We can embrace the truth and choose to live in it. When we do, we make it possible to be known and loved. Application: Identify one area where you are your spouse are not fully living in the truth.
