What to do with worry

Anxiety Is Today's Issue

A few weeks ago, I texted 10 counselors to ask what are the issues they are seeing in their clients. The number one issue listed was anxiety. It's always been an issue, but it seems as though anxiety is the main issue of today. People everywhere are anxious. While there are many aspects of anxiety, one of the most amazing characteristics is how few of us have a game plan for when we feel anxiety beginning to build. Without a specific plan, we allow our worries to lead us. It doesn't have to be that way. Read this article and start creating a pre-shot routine for anxiety.

When we think of anxiety, we often only consider it through the individual lens. Have you ever considered anxiety as characteristics of a business, family, or team? Look at these 4 questions to see if your family or workplace is chronically anxious.

Sunday in Fort Smith at Community Bible I spoke on Philippians 4.4-7. The Bible invites us into a radically different way to think about anxiety. It gives us an alternative way to live. It takes faith, but if we approach worry in this manner, it will be liberating.

I've enjoyed studying the topics of rest, connection, and engagement the last few weeks. I'm soon to focus more on connection rather than rest. One thing is very important--you must take action. It's useful to think through these topics, but unless you make some concrete changes, everything will stay the same. Consider--what is one actionable step you will take this week to be more rested, connected, or engaged?

Have a great week,

Kevin
