- Does Your Spouse Respect You?
At the heart of Friends, Partners & Lovers is the idea of trust, respect, and vulnerability. Without these three key ingredients, a relationship cannot flourish. (Make sure to take the poll at the end.)
Strong partnerships are built on respect. When I respect someone, I recognize them as having value. There is a weight about them which requires my consideration. How Respect (and Disrespect) Expresses Itself
Respect isn’t just something that’s felt, it’s something that is expressed. If respect doesn’t impact how you do things, it isn’t real.
To me, the greatest place respect displays itself is through communication. When two people respect each other, it changes how they communicate. It causes them to listen. It compels them to consider the other person’s viewpoint. Respect causes us to regularly ask THIS very important question.
