Why Work-Life Balance Is a Myth
What You Should Pursue Instead
I just returned from a weekend in Napa (following a week in Scottsdale and a previous weekend in Newport Beach). During our time, I joined a select group of other couples to discuss what is often the most pressing issue posed to me by business leaders—how can I do better at work-life balance.
The weekend went so well that I went into the studio yesterday to record some of the basic principles that I taught over the weekend. As you listen, don’t forget to hit the follow button.
Here’s the big takeaway: We think we can achieve work-life balance because we think we can have it all and do it all. But we can’t. Believing the lie allows us to never make hard choices and then we wonder why we always feel out of balance. We must tell ourselves the truth—we can’t have it all and be it all.
