Three Things You Can't Do
Nobody likes to be told what they cannot do. The only positive which might come from it is the inspiration it can create to prove people wrong. Tell me I can’t win the game, do the task, or accomplish something and I’ll do everything in my power to show your words are false.
However, there are three things I’m convinced you cannot do even while most of us are assuming we can.
You can’t:
Have it all
Do it all
Be it all
What is the biggest obstacle to your marriage? |
Sadly, most of us live in denial of this reality. The result? We refuse to make the truly difficult choices in life and instead, keep pretending that we can do these three things.
This week on Change the Odds, the Podcast, I’m continuing the mini-series Be Human. In this episode, we discuss the issue of engagement.
Are you truly engaged in marriage/life—or just distracted?
What “scoreboards” are running your life, and do they matter?
Why do we hide parts of ourselves, even from those closest to us?
What part of God’s character do you resist, and why might you need it most?
What if boredom and lack of purpose are fueling your worst habits?

The holidays are fast approaching. Few seasons are as ripe with potential and fraught with peril. I highly encourage you to review Stay In Your Lane before you head off to your family’s house for the holidays. From politics to parenting to general life navigation, the book will remind you how to lower your anxiety, improve your relationships, and get things done. It is also a great Thanksgiving gift for all your relatives so that Christmas celebrations can be more fun.
